Marketing
While my primary roles in my experience have been focused on technical documentation and instructional design, I have also been involved in various marketing projects over the years.
I’ve hosted webinars, contributed to the company blog, created company newsletters and mailing initiatives, managed the online community platform, and provided narration over videos. I have also been involved in the process of making marketing videos from script-writing and storyboarding, to direction and performing, to editing. Below are a few examples of the video projects that I have been involved in over the past few years.
eGain Analytics for Amazon Connect
This is one of the various videos that we made for our “Partner Marketplace” program. Aspects and features eGain product would be able to connect to the platforms of our partners and competitors to provide the best user experience for customers who wanted our capabilities without necessarily giving up the CRM platforms to which they had grown attached.
I provided the narration and callouts. I worked with our learning experience designers and video editor, John Wise, on the script and screenplay, which had various limitations and requirements for terminology by stakeholders.
eGain for Salesforce
Similar to our connectors, we had a partnership with Salesforce that allowed for integration with the product. For an upcoming event, our Pre-sales team recorded footage within the product.
I had several limitations placed on me for this video. I wasn’t allowed to cut or speed up content for time beyond what had already been provided in the footage. I was also given the preferred audio clip to play in the background. My task was to come up with a script based on their key highlights, provide narration, and cut everything together. I also had to put the video together in less than a week, so I didn’t have much opportunity to add flair to the presentation.
This video was assembled in Camtasia.
Persona Videos
Learning experience designer and in-house editor, John Wise, and I were tasked with a particular project that took multiple iterations and weeks to complete. Key challenges were getting time from subject-matter experts and clear direction from stakeholders as to what the requirements were. However, after we finally got the information we needed, we were able to cut and assemble everything into multiple videos like these in a few short weeks.
The requirement was a set of videos showcasing various significant features of the product, with personas to represent the types of users who would benefit from those features. John and I gathered the material for the video, including stock footage and recordings of the application. We created the storyboards for the videos in Figma. We also worked with another technical writer on my team to draft scripts for the narration that she could record. I provided the call-outs, and John assembled the material in Adobe Premiere.

Avaya + eGain
Similar to the Salesforce video in both content and context, this video had an even shorter development timeline. While I didn’t have to record any narration besides the opening phone call in the video, I was given less than 48 hours to assemble everything in Camtasia. The music and the in-app footage were provided to me on a Friday night; other visuals were sent to me the following day. I needed to put everything together before Monday morning.
